Experienced, hard-working, versatile and reliable freelance journalist/sub-editor based on the Essex/Suffolk border, but happy to travel to London and further afield.

During the past 32 years, I have worked for a wide variety of regional/national newspapers, magazines, in-house/corporate communications and PR companies.

Since going freelance in 1989, I have worked for BT (18 years), Barclays, Lloyd's of London Press/Informa (22 years), Robert Barlow Communications/Barratt Homes (13 years), Blue Ice Communications (two years), Seven Squared, Mosaic Publicity and many other publishers/PR companies.

My writing skills range from features and news stories to personality profiles and case studies/testimonials. I have interviewed everyone from property magnates to pensioner skydivers and written articles on subjects ranging from potholes to hot air ballooning. I have also provided theatre reviews, restaurant reviews, travel articles etc.

In addition, I am a fast, accurate sub-editor with extensive editing and layout experience in QuarkXPress, Eidos Media, InDesign and Photoshop, plus online editing (Lloyd's List, BT intranet).
